Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can tell us to stop. No legal fog.
The short version
- We only collect what we need to send you a PDF and keep the store running.
- We never sell your data — not to anyone, not for any reason.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.
- You can ask us to delete your account any time by writing to privacy@kindertally.com.
Who we are
Kindertally ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Kindertally LLC. Payments are processed by Stripe. If you have privacy questions, email privacy@kindertally.com.
What we collect
When you buy something
- Your name and email — so we can send your PDF and your receipt.
- Billing address — required by our payment processor (Stripe) for tax compliance, even for digital goods in some regions.
- Order details — what you bought, when, and how much you paid.
We do not store your credit card number, CVC, or full bank details. Those go straight to Stripe.
When you just visit the site
- Standard web logs — IP, browser type, page visited. Used for security and to figure out which pages are broken.
- Analytics — we use privacy-respecting analytics (event counts, not individual tracking) to see which sections resonate.
- Cookies — strictly-necessary cookies only (cart session, preferences). We don't set advertising cookies.
When you subscribe to the newsletter
Just your email. That's it. One-click unsubscribe in every email.
What we do with it
- Deliver the product you bought.
- Send transactional email (receipts, download links, the one "how to print" note).
- Respond when you email us.
- Prevent fraud and abuse.
- If you opt in: send occasional newsletter emails with free printables and new pack announcements.
Who sees your data
Only the companies that help us run the store, and only for the task they perform:
- Stripe — checkout, payment processing, and order receipts.
- Zapier — automation that triggers your download email after a successful Stripe payment.
- Email service provider — sending the download link and (if you opt in) the newsletter.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregated traffic metrics (configured with IP anonymization).
We never sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties for marketing.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Know what we've collected about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Port your data to another service.
- Object to specific kinds of processing.
- Withdraw consent for any optional processing at any time.
To exercise any of these, just email privacy@kindertally.com. We respond within 30 days (usually the same week).
Kids and our site
Kindertally is designed for parents and educators to buy on behalf of their kids. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The product is a PDF — it has no tracking, no logins, no telemetry at all.
Data retention
Order records are kept for 7 years (tax & accounting). Support emails are kept for 2 years. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
International transfers
Our servers and processors are located in the United States and the EU. By using Kindertally you consent to your data being transferred and processed there.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, if you're a customer, send you a note.
